Toyota Mark II JZX110 For Sale — Import From Japan
This is the ninth Mark II, and the last. Toyota launched the JZX110 in October 2000 and built it until October 2004. The low hardtop gave way to a four-door sedan on the S170 Crown platform, 60 mm taller than before, and the 3.0-liter engine didn't carry over. At launch, every grade wore the Grande name. Enthusiasts want the Grande iR-V, which became plain iR-V at the October 2002 facelift. It has a 280 PS 1JZ-GTE with VVT-i and a single turbo. Power goes to the rear wheels through a standard LSD, and it's the only car in the range with a five-speed manual. The Grande G-tb shared that engine with an automatic until it was dropped in 2002. The iR-S, Grande and Grande G use the 200 PS 1JZ-FSE, a direct-injection 2.5, also with an automatic. There's a 2.0-liter Grande with the 1G-FE, and the four-wheel-drive JZX115 uses the 1JZ-GE. A wagon, the Mark II Blit, followed in 2002.

What to check on a Mark II JZX110
- An iR-V and an iR-S look alike, but the iR-V has the turbocharged 1JZ-GTE and the iR-S the naturally aspirated 1JZ-FSE. Trust the engine over the badge on the trunk.
- A manual G-tb, Grande or iR-S has been converted, since only the iR-V was offered with the five-speed.
- Get the build month from the export certificate instead of the registration year. Production ran four years, and the month of manufacture decides when a car can be imported.
- On an iR-V, look for signs of drifting such as a welded differential in place of the factory LSD, rolled arches, seam welding and repaired rails.
- Grade names changed at the October 2002 facelift, but a Grande iR-V and an iR-V share one specification. The paperwork, model plate and engine should all agree.
What it costs to import a Mark II JZX110
The card prices above are what each car costs in Japan. The shipped price on a card is that car delivered to your nearest US port, with ocean freight and export fees included. We then clear it through US customs as your importer of record and handle the title, so there's no customs broker for you to hire. The full cost breakdown has the details.
Is the Mark II JZX110 legal to import?
Any vehicle 25 years or older is legal to import into the USA without meeting modern FMVSS safety or EPA emissions standards. Eligibility runs on the month and year of manufacture, not just the model year. If the exact JZX110 you want is not yet eligible, we can buy it and store it in Japan until it is. See the 25-year rule explained.
How buying one from us works
We bid at Japanese auctions and buy from dealer stock on your behalf. Before any money moves, the car is physically inspected in Japan, with photos, video, and a condition report, not just an auction sheet grade. After purchase we handle export, ocean freight to your nearest US port, customs clearance, import duty, and US title, so the car arrives ready to register. Typical timeline is 45–60 days from purchase to delivery.

On this chassis we look hardest at: An iR-V and an iR-S look alike, but the iR-V has the turbocharged 1JZ-GTE and the iR-S the naturally aspirated 1JZ-FSE. Trust the engine over the badge on the trunk; A manual G-tb, Grande or iR-S has been converted, since only the iR-V was offered with the five-speed; Get the build month from the export certificate instead of the registration year. Is the JZX110 a hardtop like the JZX100?
It's a four-door sedan. Toyota dropped the hardtop for this generation, and the JZX110 is 60 mm taller than the JZX100 and shares its platform with the S170 Crown. The turbo engine carried over as the 280 PS 1JZ-GTE with VVT-i.
iR-V or Grande G-tb?
Both have the 280 PS 1JZ-GTE. The iR-V is the sport grade and the only one you could get with a five-speed manual. The G-tb was the comfort turbo, sold with an automatic, and Toyota dropped it at the October 2002 facelift.
What is a Mark II Blit?
That's the station wagon built on this generation's platform. It came out in 2002 and was also offered with the 1JZ-GTE. Since it's sold and listed as a separate model, search for it by name.
