  • US law allows import of any vehicle 25 years or older (the "25-year rule"). Not yet eligible? We can store it in Japan until it is.
  • Typical timeframe from purchase to US delivery: 45-60 days.
  • Full-service import covers auction bidding or dealer purchase, an optional in-person inspection and ocean shipping. We quote the car shipped to your nearest US port. From there we can clear it through US customs for you and title it, so there's no broker for you to hire.
  • Importing and titling it as well adds US import duty (~12.5% of the car value) plus import, port and title fees. We can quote it that way on request.
  • Exported vehicles are exempt from Japan's 10% Consumption Tax (JCT) - beware of exporters who charge it.
